Widely known for Flamenco music and
dance, bull-fights, beaches and lots of
sunshine, Spain has to offer much more than
that. It is one of the cultural centers of
Europe. It has beautiful cities and towns,
offering really old monuments as well as
modern architecture. Its various regions are
all different to each other geographically,
climatically and even in personality. It is a
fascinating country to visit.

Spain is also home to two of Europe's best
cruise trains.

The
El Transcantabrico Railway Cruise
Train was the first Spanish tourist luxury
train. It has been delighting travellers for the
past 25 years. Running between Santiago de
Compostela and Leon over the narrow
gauge FEVE railway, all of the magic of
northern Spain awaits the traveller, from the
lands of Castile and Leon to the shores of
the Bay of Biscay.

A railway cruise on the El Transcantabrico
offers you delightful gastronomy, art,
monuments and landscape, all from the
luxury of your own luxurious touring train.

The operators of the El Transcantabrico will
soon add the Al Andalus luxury train in
southern Spain to their portfolio. It was their
intention to offer tours in 2008, but the
re-launch of this service has been delayed,
probably until 2009.
