I thought I was doing well. My Fotopic site had been viewed over 200,000 times and interest was growing. Things were looking good – then al of my images vanished. The entire Fotopic site went off-air, taking my pictures with it into cloud never never land. It was a great idea whilst it lasted, but now I must start again. I have chosen Flickr, the picture site owned by Yahoo. I hope that they are big enough to stay in business, particularly as they also host this blog and my website.
Photographs will be added as fast as possible, but it will take a while to get all of the Fotopic files reloaded. Whilst doing so I will add extra images and take out a few of the more boring ones. To see the results so far, go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/geoff-cooke
I am new to Flickr, and no doubt will learn a lot as I add images, gather them into sets and then make collections. It all seems complicated, but then I am a product of the steam age.
