Geoffs trains tours
Welsh Highland Railway Superpower Weekend
Globe Steam organized a tour to include the Welsh Highland Superpower weekend. The group
flew from Germany to Manchester on the morning of Friday, 08 September 2006. Geoff Cooke
met them there and drove to Llanberris, where both Llanberis Lakeside and Snowdon Mountain
Railways were visited.

We continued to Dinas on the WHR, and waited there for the inaugural run of the K1 Garratt.
This train was then followed to Rhyd Ddu.

Saturday and Sunday morning were spent riding and photographing the Superpower events.

At lunchtime on Sunday, 10 September, we drove to Manchester for an afternoon flight home.
